My 2025 Wellness Plan

2025 Wellness Plan

Yes, it’s March, and I’m just finalizing my 2025 wellness plan. I’m proud to have settled into the year, listened to my body's needs, and assessed my life to create a realistic and untenable plan. Now, let’s talk about what that plan is.

Wellness In Action

  • 8,000 - 10,000 STEPS

  • Coffee only 1-2x a week

  • Keeping my phone across the room when I sleep

  • Lofi music instead of TV when I’m working

  • 5:30 - 6 am wakeup

  • 1 3-day social media cleanse per month

  • Minimize drinking during the week

  • Lymphatic drainage massage every other day

  • 100 - 120oz of water per day

  • Goal and budget updates once a month

  • Cycle Synching each month

I’ve crafted a reasonable plan to reach my goals but also ensured that I keep myself grounded and focused. None of this would be possible without getting to know myself and even failing along the way.

Over a year ago, I tried the 5 am wakeups and slowly migrated back to my original routine. I had to learn that maybe 5 am is unreasonable, but 5:30/6 am is doable.

While simplicity is important, discipline is key to any plan. I didn’t make this just to seem committed, but did so because I’ve learned what makes me and my body feel best. It’s about understanding what routine supports your well-being without being taxing.

Consider my coffee intake. Trying to banish the experience of drinking coffee would be horrid. I don’t just enjoy the caffeine but I love the taste and it’s a bonus to my morning routine. Although I know I’d be more in line with my health goals if I limit my consumption. Instead of it being a staple in my routine, it’s a perk during my week.

Tips for your wellness plan

Look for healthier alternatives to your current habits

I’d have to rewire my brain to not have a sweet tooth. And you know what? I’m not interested in that. That means that I choose to satisfy my cravings in different ways. I don’t have cheat days anymore. When I crave something sweet, I get it right then and there. We deserve to have our desires satisfied. By satisfying my craving in the moment, I’m less likely to binge on a “cheat day”.

Focus on Wellness -- Not Perfection

Consistency is not perfection. To be consistent means that when you do fall off, you pick yourself up without hesitation. When you’ve recognized that you’ve stumbled, you regain your footing and get back on the path. Don’t beat yourself up because you tripped.

Remain Realistic

When it comes to cycle synching (more to come on my experience soon), I’d be a bold liar if I told you I eat by the diet guidelines daily. My life has too many moving parts to be that aligned. But I try my best and that’s what matters. A comfortable consistency makes it more likely that something becomes a habit and a staple in a routine

Be Proactive

If you know you have a busy week ahead, make a plan early. Meal prep, decide to shift your workout schedule, or make plans for healthy choices even if you’re eating out.

Reward for Consistency

Many of us are dopamine addicts. Since restructuring society to eliminate this need is too daunting, we can find ways to limit but still feed our cravings. All of the major goals I’ve set this year have a reward. Whether it's taking myself out to eat, buying myself a gift, or just enjoying a new activity.

That’s all for now y’all. I hope my own wellness plan offers some inspiration and motivation to create your own. Share in the comments below what you want to do to promote well-being in 2025!

With Love,

Allie
