Letter 01: Welcome to My Creative Escape

Dear Readers,
Part of me is still surprised that I launched my passion project. An idea that took off running from the moment it formed. I’m finally stepping into a role that feels instinctive. Call me selfish, but this blog was highly motivated by my own desire to track my progression and explore my journey into adulthood. I want to explore my creativity to fullest, and this blog was the obvious next step. My love for storytelling and self-care fused to create this space. I hope as I recount experiences, explore current states of mind, and share my interest, I can offer comfort to other black women who may relate to me. For the readers who may extend outside this demographic, I don't want you to leave empty handed. Besides gaining better insight into experiences of black women, I want to explore a variety of topics. You can expect content on: self-care, luxury, travel, and more. And you can plan on having plenty to read and content to explore, because I’ve always said, “I write like I talk, too much”. I hope that my stories are read by many; I want the unique experiences of black women to be represented. But my truest hope is that I create a sense of community and affirmation for fellow young black women. Plus, I’ve been told that I’m quite funny, so if all you left with was a laugh, don’t say I ain’t give you nothing.
